Wilfried Nancy declared he was not afraid of dismissal, claiming, “The team is extremely close to changing our fortunes,” despite edging perilously close to the chopping block with a convincing defeat by Rangers.

Nancy’s Persistent Belief
The coach continues to cling to the fact Celtic can perform strongly for 45 minutes at a time. In fact, if not for poor finishing they could have been more than 1-0 up. “There were positives other than the fact that we missed a second goal,” he said. “I know that we lost, but I have also to be balanced.
“The level we had at certain moments was really, really, really high. That is a fact. And I would not say that if it was different. But that’s why, when it comes to wins, I mentioned it's a repeating pattern. Which is why I feel we are really close to things turning around. Currently: the fine margins.”
“I saw a lot of encouraging signs that we did, like today again. However it’s about sustaining it. My outlook would be different the same. Therefore I firmly believe we’re going to be able to turn things around.”
The Rangers Boss Outlook
The victorious boss was cautious about a serious challenge even after what appeared to be a huge result. “One match at a time, then we can develop a challenge,” he said. “The belief in the group is immense.”
