The relatives of teens lost after a deadly fire at a establishment in a Swiss alpine town are facing an excruciating wait for answers and pleading for any details about their loved ones online.

The inferno devastated the a popular bar in Cans-Montana, located in the Swiss Alps of south-west Switzerland, in the middle of the night of the first day of the year. Confirmed images reveal the ceiling igniting as bottles with sparklers are raised in celebration.

Authorities have warned that it could take an extended period to formally name the victims of the tragedy, which claimed the lives of four dozen individuals and wounded another 119. Officials noted on the latest update that 113 of the injured have been identified, with the process continuing to identify the remaining few.

In the waiting period, relatives have been posting on social media to request clues about their missing relatives who were in attendance that fateful night.

Desperate Searches for the Missing

The location of Swiss national Arthur Brodard, sixteen, are currently unknown, according to an appeal from his parent.

Giovanni Tamburi, sixteen, is also among the missing. His mother said that he had been on vacation but had ventured out with a group and found himself at the bar.

"Someone with him informed me they escaped after the fire broke out and that he had his mobile with him, but then at a specific moment he couldn't see him anymore," she explained, adding he had been wearing a distinctive gold chain.

One of his educators commented, "He was known for his kindness and smile, alongside great maturity. He would frequently offer to help out."

Alice Kallergis, who holds dual Swiss and Greek nationality but lives permanently in Switzerland, was also present on New Year's Eve, according to sources.

Her brother has shared an urgent request on social media, saying the family has had "no updates" regarding the teenager or the group she was with, who are also unaccounted for.

Officials from her other nation say they are actively engaged with the situation.
