Six Individuals Detained Following 12 Million Euro Armed Raid on Gold Refining Lab in the French Republic

A team of six suspects using high-powered firearms used explosive devices to force entry into a gold treatment facility located in the city of Lyon, slightly injuring five staff members during what appears to be the newest significant daylight theft to hit the nation.

The audacious robbery occurred on the afternoon of Thursday, with police forces swiftly apprehending the alleged criminals and retrieving the loot valued at approximately 12 million euros (10.5 million pounds), according to officials.

Five employees of the precious metals facility received light wounds from the blast, and three of them were taken to a medical facility for assessment, officials confirmed. A total of twenty-eight staff were inside the facility when the perpetrators raided.

The individuals, thought to be experienced criminals, were detained soon afterwards in the nearby town of Vénissieux, according to investigative sources.
