The incident caused the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

Formal charges have been brought against two men following a suitcase robbery where a believed to be pepper spray led to people being hurt at the major London air hub.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two robbery charges and charges for using a harmful chemical, as confirmed by court officials.

This legal action stems from an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on Sunday. Earlier that day, two female travelers had their suitcases taken after exiting a car park lift, authorities reported.

A three-year-old girl was one of the people hurt during the incident. Several persons were taken to a medical facility and were later discharged.

This event – described by police as was not part of a series and deemed non-terroristic – caused disruptions to rail services and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a limited duration.
